Ok, here's our story with the mama song. Me and a bunch from my church of people went to the National Catholic Youth Conference in St. Louis in November, and this girl from our church group knew the Ya Mama song and taught it to us, so there we were, supposed to be all religious, and we were singing Ya Mama every two minutes. Then when we came back we taught it to all our friends at all of our different schools and now everyone knows it. It's pretty funny. I go to Stonewall High School in Manassas and all you have to do is shout "Yo Mom!" in the hallway and I swear you'll find someone who knows that song.

Pharcyde is the SHIT. I read in an MTV news report that they reunited. And this report came out just earlier this month! If you don't believe me check the MTV news webpage and look up Pharcyde, and it'll show an article about the group being invited to a arty being held by Cypress Hill. Can anyone confirm this? Here's the deal. I first listened to the Pharcyde when I was in highschool. They brought such a uncommon sound to hip-hop music that I was instantly drawn in to them. Imani, Bootie Brown, Fat Lip and Slim Kid Tre played on my cd player for months on end. I couldn't get pa sed how well they flowed together. Music and beats were tight, the timing between them was incredible. They matched each other so well that they were, without a doubt, the best group I've ever heard. Yo Mama was the first song I heard from them. I knew ri ht then I had to get the CD. I bought it and listened in amazment! Passin me by, For better or for worse, otha Fish, return of the b-boy...... Damn, the whole thing was dope. Then, Labcabin came out, and they never lost a step. It was a bit on the cooler ide, but I still got mad high to that one to. Many nights and many blunts later I was looking foward to the next cd. It didn't happen though. About 3 years later I was hoping to hear something about the group. Still nothing. Then I heard that they are no more. Just Imani and Bootie. That's the end of the ride. No more Pharcyde and no more great hip-hop....... It feels like biggie and 2pac died ll over again.. Lets hope that they release the cd that they were recording after Fat Lip left the group. Not "testing the waters", but the other cd that came after that. It's over folks, but it was a hell of a ride! One L!! R.I.P. "the pharcyde is dead"

I am such a big fan of the group "Pharcyde" ever since I was in high school. I can remember when I bought there first album. I used the money that I saved up from my after school job. I would play that tape so much, infact one day it broke in my tape deck I guess that was from it being woren out. During classes I would wright the name "Pharcyde" all over my note books and binders in ink. My friends would call me the Pharcyde freek but I didn't care, they were Bomb in my eyes. Everyday from school I would ush home to catch Rap City on "BET" just so I would miss my favorite video "Passing Me By". That is still one of my favorite songs till this day. I would also record the video on video tape. Infact if I had record it and it didn't come out right I would r cord it numerous of times to get it on my video tape perfect. It may sound a little rediculous but so what. Now I'm at the age to by all their c.d.'s and not be so limited to hearing their music. I guess you can say I'm a real big fan of the group "Pharcy e". First of all, my compliments on the site and thanks for supporting one of the very few remaining true hiphop bands (and probably the only one with a sense of humour, for that matter). I've been a Pharcyde fan for some years now, and I'm trying to get ahol of some CD's and singles not released in my country. At a Pharcyde concert I attended some two years ago, Tre said something about a (then) new album entitle "Karma" to be released in Europe that summer. I suppose it never made it overseas because it's not for sale here. Reading your site, I understand it has been released in the US, correct? I know you probably can't help me either but since Germany is close to the Netherlands than the US is, I was wondering if you know of a way for me to get Karma, as well as the singles Pandemonium and Pork. Yo, it is so refreshing to hear real hip hop groups do their thing. God damn, with punks like P-diddy and Mase and other jack asses kick some weak shit and get paid top dollar, it makes me sick! They have never done anything for hip-hop, they just sell o 12 year old girls and take form hip hop, they don't give a thing to a struggling art form, those fuckers! Pharcyde probaly doesn't make 20% of what Mase does, but they probaly work 300 times as hard. Like KRS said, Rap is something you do, Hip-Hop is omething you live!
